- Why Should I get this done?
Seal coating your asphalt is as important as putting sunscreen on your face on a hot summers day. Seal coating protects your driveway from sun and water damage, the main reasons asphalt dries out and cracks. It helps keep moisture out, slows wear, and preserves the flexibility of the pavement. The sooner you seal it, the longer your asphalt will stay in good shape — a small investment now helps you avoid much bigger repairs later.
We can help determine the frequency of this service based on the asphalts current condition and amount of traffic it receives. Usually one application every 3-4 years is sufficient for a residential driveway, commercial parking lots with heavier traffic could be done every 2-3 years.

- What can I expect from this process?
First and most importantly, the surface area will be cleaned and prepped. The overall longevity and quality of job is directly proportionate to the cleanliness of the surface before application so we want to be sure to get this right the first time. After that we will mask off any sensitive areas to be overly cautious of no over spray. We will then proceed to apply the sealer either by brush or spray application. Generally we like to brush residential applications and spray commercial applications. By brushing residential jobs, we ensure no accidental over spray. It takes longer but looks cleaner in the end. Cleanliness, attention to detail and applying the product in accordance with product specifications are our top priorities during the application. Once completed, within 6 hours of application you can walk on it and you'll be able to drive on it after 24 hours have passed.
